Location: Nabire, Papua
Responsible to: Project Manager, Field Office Director
General Summary:
Working closely with and under supervision of Project Manager and Field Office Director, Health specialist will be responsible for health programs and assist Project Manager in overall technical health in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting.
Main Responsibilities and duties:
Health:
- Together with PM, assess, plan, and manage all aspects of a public/community health program
- Provide assistance in design, implementation, and on going evaluation of public/community health.
- Assist in prioritizing initiatives to fill gaps in current health services, in collaboration with national and international health partners.
- Together with PCI Team design and implement an effective community health worker program.
- Ensure adequate reporting mechanisms to monitor PCI health program initiatives and impacts.
- Work with the Provincial Health Officer to identify areas for strengthening to ensure a fully functional health system in accordance with Indonesian standards and protocols.
- Assist and provide training (internally and externally) and support as needed to ensure program implementation.
- Maintain an accurate and updated record keeping system of PCI health activities
- Conduct ongoing monitoring activities and evaluate the project upon completion.

Other duties as assigned by Project Manager and FOD.
Minimum Qualification:
- MALE, S1 Degree in Medical (Doctor) or Master Public Health is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of health program development (especially maternal and child health, reproductive health, nutrition and health education/training)
- Knowledge and training in Behavior Change Communication approach
- Fluency in verbal and written English
- Good Computer skills
- Good communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Good team player
